Dichroic Glass Cat Jewelry

When artists James and Nathalie Stickland, who are largely self-taught, work with fused dichroic glass, the result is a piece of beautiful and distinctive cat jewelry. The colors are spectacular, and they change with every movement of the finished piece. Many remark on the similarity to opals; if you like opals, you will love the look of dichroic glass! Each piece of dichroic cat jewelry is custom-made and unique. The glass from 3 Escargots is cut and layered to produce the optimum aesthetic effect. Pieces are heated in a kiln, cooled slowly, then ground and finally fire-polished. The finished pieces are approximately one-inch square; slight variations in size, color, and shape are to be expected due to the handmade nature of the work and the unpredictability of dichroic colors.
